I agree with the notion that PR practitioners should play the role of
digital sociologists when developing a social media strategy, as each
online community has its own culture. The tools for implementing social
media are constantly changing. However, the study of the way people
interact within a community in an effort to integrate into said
community has been studied for centuries. Success begins with listening
and observing then strategizing, engaging, measuring and adapting. 
      
Work experience:
      
      - Write organization-wide social media policy to fit the current needs of the small nonprofit
- Launch and manage Twitter account (@MichFitness)
- Develop professional development and training for staff on emerging trends and tools
- Oversee publication of event-related blog
